Youth centre

The Middlemount Youth Centre is a drop in centre where young people can simply hang out with their friends in a safe, clean and fun environment.  The building is owned and maintained by the Isaac Regional Council and funded by the sponsorship of Anglo American, local businesses and generous community donations.

The Middlemount Youth Centre has a range of activities and equipment for the children of our town including:

  • Table tennis

  • A huge projector (perfect for Friday Night Football and Movies)

  • Three pool tables

  • A full scale air hockey table

  • A widescreen television connected to an XBOX 360 Kinect

  • A widescreen television connected an XBOX 360

  • A widescreen television connected to a Nintendo Wii

Every Friday night the Youth Centre is open from 7.00pm-10.00pm. Students are provided with a meal for the evening, usually one of pizzas, steak burgers or pies and hot dogs. All students in grades eight to twelve are encouraged to attend. Membership fees are $80 per year and help to cover the cost of food and other expenses.
