Senior secondary

At Middlemount Community School, our expectation is that all students will complete year 12, having successfully achieved:

  • A certificate ll qualification (or higher)
  • A Queensland Certificate of Education or a Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement
  • An ATAR or Tertiary rank (where applicable)

Our curriculum offerings in years 10-12 are designed to achieve these qualifications.  Our school's offerings are enhanced by study options available through Distance Education or other registered training providers. Details about the Certificates on offer please see the Head of Department or Guidance Officer.

School Expectations

Senior Phase students are expected to:

  • complete all set class work to at least a satisfactory standard
  • submit all assessment tasks by the due date
  • attend 90% of school days
  • demonstrate punctuality
  • have a parent/guardian explanation for all absences from school
